Recommended use: Traditional Chinese Medicine used to promote bowel movement and clear heat-toxicity. Used for headache, dry throat, concentrated urine, constipation due to exterior cold and interior heat, and the exterior and interior excess syndrome.

Risk Information: Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if (1) taking cardiac medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications, thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other medications or health products which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. (2) have a liver disorder, faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomitting or fever. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Do not use if you have (1) hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or cardiovascular disorder; (2) in cold deficiency syndrome; (3) take tonify herbs, or smoke, or drink alcohol, or take cold, uncooked, spicy or greasy food; (4) pregnant or breastfeeding; (5) if you have kidney disease; (6) abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes. Reduce dose or stop use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhea. Stop use if hypersensitivity/allergy occurs.
