About the author:
Bruce Robinson is a
board-certified general surgeon. After graduating from the University of
Michigan School of Medicine, Bruce completed five years of postgraduate
residency there, as well as a research fellowship in vascular surgery at St.
Bartholomew’s Medical College in London. During his thirty years of practice,
Bruce treated over 80,000 patients. Now retired from medical practice, Bruce has
dedicated his ongoing professional career to bridging the gap between Western
and Chinese medicine. In that capacity, he served as president of the Meridian
Institute of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Monterey, CA., and more recently as
president of the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA.
In the past fifteen years, Bruce has been on several trips to China and Japan.
He currently serves as both professor and Academic Dean at USAT Medical College,
Montserrat, British West Indies. This Western medical college also has campuses
in Florida and Denver, CO. Bruce is also a faculty member at the Atlantic
Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL., where he and his wife
currently reside.
