Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water and dry. Swab area with alcohol or disinfectant and allow to dry. Tear pouch open to expose the easy-grip end and remove from package without touching the sharp tip. Pierce the skin with the sharp tip for a blood sample. Immediately after use, dispose in a sharp’s container. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after use and disposal.

If you are using the lancet on another person, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves) when using and disposing of the lancet.

Warnings

Not intended for more than one use. Do not use on more than one patient. Improper use of blood lancet can increase the risk of inadvertent transmission of bloodborne pathogens, particularly in settings where multiple patients are tested.

Patients younger than 18 years old should be supervised by adults when using the subject device, or adults should perform the procedure on patients younger than 18 years old.

Risk of injury. If the penetration depth is too deep, the puncture can injure children. Before using the lancing device for the first time on children, ask your healthcare professional. Start with the lowest penetration depth.
